Comparative Margin Report
Shows Margins comparatively for a set of specified date ranges.

Create Your Report
Sort Order- Select either
- Category ID- Item Category ID
- Recent Margin- Items Recent Margin
- Former Margin- Items Former Margin
- Margin Change- Amount of margin change
- Margin % Change- Percent of margin change
For Sort Direction use the drop down list to select Ascending or Descending
Click Whole Numbers to have cents removed and rounded into a whole number.
In the Category section, select one, multiple or retain the default of All.
Recent Date Selection- Create a date range
- Start- Enter a Start date
- End- End an End date
In the Locations section, select All, one or multiple Locations.
Use Former Date Selection to create a date range
- Start- Enter a Start date
- End- End an End date
Apply an Item Filter. Learn more here.

Select Preview to view the report onscreen.
Select Print to send the report directly to the default printer.

Understanding Your Report
Category displays the Item Category ID and Name.
Recent Margin indicates the margin for sales of items in the category for the dates selected in the Recent Date Selection.
Former Margin indicates the margin for sales of items in the category for the dates selected in the Former Date Selection.
Margin Change is the difference between the amounts in Recent and Former Margin columns calculated by subtracting Former Margin from Recent Margin.
Recent Margin % Margin percentage for the Recent Date Selection.
Former Margin % Margin percentage for the Former Date Selection.
Margin % Change is the difference between the percentages in Recent and Former Margin % columns.
Totals shows column totals for Recent, Former, and Margin change. The Recent, Former and Margin % change columns are averaged.
